In the article “A World Map With No National Borders and 1,642 Animals”, journalist Natasha Frost describes a map by Anton Thomas, an artist and cartographer. The map, including over 1,500 species, required thorough research, according to Mr. Thomas. Utilizing a magnifying glass for the strokes of colored pencil that illustrates various species across the globe, Mr. Thomas spent three years, or around 2,600 hours, on the map, according to Frost.
The level of patience, dedication, care, and effort that was poured into this art is admirable.
