Reflection:

Politics. Complex and messy, but beauty in union. Discordance and chaos in polarization. Various ideologies. Gerrymandering. Shaking hands. Votes.

In the interactive article “How Republicans Fed a Misinformation Loop About the Pelosi Attack” from The New York Times, Malika Khuran, Annie Karni and Stuart A. Thompson organizes the widely-spanning allegations set against the Pelosi’s, showing which politicians made which kind of accusation. The accusations, spanning from extramarital affairs to questioning of a staged attack, show how this violent breach in political boundaries is being perceived in many, vast ways.

There is also a graph showing data from Pyrra, which is “a company that tracks fringe media” (The New York Times 1). This graph is very interesting and piqued my interest because it meticulously shows the topical course of discussion on social media about the Pelosi attack from hour to hour. The graph visually, clearly shows the quantity of type of conspiracy theories that have stemmed since the attack took place, with color-coordination applied for clarity.
